Kellen and Parker...best buds

April, Garrett and Parker stopped in for a quick visit yesterday on their way from from Dresden. It was so much fun seeing them and having Kellen and Parker play together!! Parker still seems very interested in Kellen..he even held Kellen's hand! Kellen still seems like he could take it or leave it!
Here is Kellen hanging out with Auntie April...he had lots of fun just looking at her and wondering what she was doing! (he was a little tired...overdue for a nap....so he didn't quite have fun with being tossed in the air!)

I am trying to sit all by myself....

Lately, Kellen is trying really hard to sit all by himself. He can hold a very forward position for a little while, but this is what usually happens...he falls forward and looks like he's trying to crawl! Once he's down there, he figures he might as well just try and eat his toy!

What do I like more...thumb or toe?

These pictures are of Kellen after his bath yesterday...for the last couple of days, he has been obsessed with sucking on his big toe! Every chance he gets, he brings his big toe to his mouth!

But wait, he still loves his thumb...thumb or toe? It's so hard to decide which one is better!

Kellen has found a way to bust out of his PJ's...here he is playing with his feet and laughing at the silly noises and dancing that mommy was doing!

Here is Kellen hiding in between the pillows...he is getting so good at grabbing things and holding them...he also loves to bring soft things to his face and rub them on his cheeks...then naturally, it must go for the taste test afterward! (all things must go to the mouth!!)

This was mommy getting things ready for our weekend trip to London for Tanya and Aaron's wedding (pictures coming soon!)...daddy was making Kellen laugh!

Bathtime

Kellen is still loving his bathtime...the moment he gets into the water, he starts to squeal, kick and splash around....it is really lots of fun to watch him! Last night, he had a bit of a poop accident (the 2nd time now!) and we had to get him out of his bath to clean the tub and prep for bath number 2...these are pictures of Kellen hanging out in between his baths...we thought he looked super cute all wrapped up in the towel.

Here are some pictures of Kellen this morning...in a super good mood! He was having lots of fun hanging out and talking and giggling up a storm with me! Everything made him smile and giggle!

Here is Kellen playing his "I'm superman!" game..he loves it when you count to three, then put him in the air in the superman pose....he loves to look around from this new height!

Books are tasty...and fun to look at while mommy reads me stories! Kellen has started grabbing at the books whenever we are reading to him..he can't quite hold onto the books for long yet, but he's getting better....atleast he can get the book into his mouth (that's the most important thing after all!)

He was having so much fun this morning sitting on the couch and talking and laughing with me...here he is in the middle of a funny story that he could barely get out without laughing!

What a happy little baby!

Okay, so Kellen has been in the best of moods these past couple of days...he usually is quite the happy baby, but he has been super happy lately! He just can't stop squealing, giggling, smiling and just enjoying himself. He was smiling and laughing at everything I did today, so I decided to take some pictures of that beautiful smile of his....ahhh!

I just love this picture of him! We were having so much fun talking about his animal friends from his playmat...he kept leaning in to grab my hair or touch my face while "talking" to me. By the way, do you notice how much hair he is getting?!!? It seems like everyday, he has more hair on that adorable little head of his!

Who loves his thumb? Kellen does!

As I have mentioned before, Kellen has taken a liking to sucking his left thumb (again...yeah, for lefties!!!) He usually sucks all his fingers, wrists, hands, etc when he is just having fun, but switches to his thumb when he is getting relaxed or getting tired. These are some pictures of Kellen hanging out and sucking his thumb...the last picture is him realizing that I am taking lots of pictures of him and it cracked him up...he started to giggle non-stop!

My visit with Ali and Darryl

Kellen had a chance to meet my cousin Ali and her boyfriend, Darryl, today. Since Ali lives so far away from us, she hasn't had a chance to meet Kellen until now. Kellen had lots of fun just hanging out with them...he especially loved it when Darryl played the guitar and sang songs to him...he tried to sing along (doing his squealing thing)..it was really cute! He can't wait to have another sing-along again soon!

A day in the life....

Kellen loves to pull on his feet now...he sometimes can get them into his mouth, but usually, he just sways back and forth while holding his toes....this takes up about 1/4 of his day now...this with rolling over!

This is Kellen watching television while again, chewing on his hand and preparing to roll over....as you can plainly see, he is a very busy boy during the day!

Here is Kellen sucking on his thumb...yep, he likes his left thumb! (this isn't a very good picture of it, but I promise, that thumb is in his mouth...alot!)

Kellen loves to sit and talk to us...his talking now consists of squealing and making very loud noises...it is so funny to hear him because he looks so serious when he is "talking" to you and then he breaks out into a huge smile after each "story".

Well, after a fun day of holding his feet, rolling over, watching television, chewing on his hands, sucking his thumb and talking to us, he is exhausted! Here is Kellen in his new favourite sleeping position...since learning to roll over, he now loves to sleep on his belly. It is so cute how he does this...he rolls over, then he slowly puts his head down to see if he likes that position and will continue to lift and lower his little head until he is comfortable...then, he's out!

Okay Auntie April...here's an update on my blog!

Here is Kellen hanging out in our bed...he's saying, "Hey, why are you taking my picture...I'm trying to get comfortable to go to sleep!"

Here is Kellen telling me a story yesterday...he asked me to move in really close so that he could whisper a secret to me...and then he added a big squeal at the end!

Kellen is pondering what to do today....he always thinks best in his chair while chewing on his hand.

This was Kellen this morning....the heat doesn't stop him from having lots of fun watching Baby Einstein and again...squealing with delight!

Auntie April has been asking for an update on Kellen's blog for a couple of days now, so I figured it was time! It is pay back for all the times I keep bugging Garrett and April to update Parker's blog!!





Well, Kellen continues to roll over every single chance he gets...he is the master roller now!





Kellen has also learned how to squeal. Loudly. Really, really, loudly. It is actually really funny to hear him do it...he'll squeal, then he'll do it again, and again for a couple of minutes. He also now squeals while he's crying if he's really trying to get a point across about how unhappy he is!
