Parker's 4th Birthday Party!!!

It was Parker's 4th birthday over the long weekend in May (sorry for the delay in getting the pictures up!). Here we are on route to his birthday party....Kellen was being super cool and laid back - here he is in his sunglasses watching his favourite episodes of Dora the Explorer.

The birthday boy! The weather was beautiful so we spent most of our time playing and hanging out outdoors. Here is Parker playing with Kellen's tools (I told you that he brings them everywhere that he goes!)

Kellen loved playing in Parker's little sandbox.....we are thinking of getting him one for the backyard this year since he always seems to gravitate toward them at parks.

....but the boys thought it would be fun to just hold the toy and run around the entire backyard with it....they were kind of playing tag/follow the leader. It was pretty fun to watch them play so well together.

Happy Birthday, Parker! Parker had a super cool birthday cake that was shaped like Buzz Lightyear! And, it was super delicious!!!

Parker seemed to be very excited about his cake - and anxious to get blowing out those candles!

Handy Manny's Right Hand Guy

A couple of weeks ago, we treated Kellen to his very own tool set! At Toys R Us, they actually have an entire section of toys by Black and Decker - all tools that look just like tools Daddy would have in his tool pouch! Kellen immediately fell in love with his tool case and has yet to put it down! He always pulls out his tools to measure things, hammer things...pretty much anything that needs fixing, Kellen is there with his tools!

Pulling out the Pirate Ship!

We finally had nice weather today, so we decided it was time to cut the grass (which was so long that Kellen thought looked like a corn field!) and pull out Kellen's water toy - his Pirate Ship! He was so excited to have his water toys out, that he spent the entire afternoon on the porch, just playing with the ship.

...and then the ice cream truck drove by and Kellen was sooooo excited! Whenever he hears the bells of the ice cream truck, he runs around saying "The ice cream truck is coming!!!" and flaps his arms in excitement trying to get outside (it is very cute!) So, we treated him to an ice cream cone...as you can see, he thoroughly enjoyed every bite of it!!

Victoria Weekend in Brockville

This past weekend, we went to visit Lita and Grandpa (unfortunately, we were visiting Grandpa in the hospital. Don't worry - he starting to feel much better!). The weather was beautiful for most of the weekend. Here is Kellen sprawled out on Lita and Grandpa's new outside table to open up the umbrella.

We went to Canadian Tire for some shopping, and decided to see which patio furniture was the most comfortable...hands down, this one won!!

There was a piano in the solarium (the room that we did our visits with Grandpa) so Kellen thought he would be our entertainment for a few minutes.

A while ago, Lita gave Kellen a little kaleidescope - he brings it with him everywhere we go....here he is checking out all the beautiful colours.

And now checking out this super old tanker-train that is just sitting in a field behind the fire station.

Kellen was very intrigued....

Lita was able to get a fireman (named Mike....he was super, super friendly and showed us around the entire fire station! He even put on the full gear for Kellen to see!) Kellen loves fire trucks, so he was pretty excited.

He wasn't too sure if he liked being so high up while sitting in the driver's chair....it was pretty high!!

Seeing how big the tire was on the fire truck....it was bigger than Kellen!!

Getting to check out fire fighter Mike's oxygen mask....Kellen was a bit spooked out by the sound it made when Mike was breathing into it.

"Thank you Fireman Mike!!!/ Get me out of here now!"

Blowing bubbles outside.....Kellen is getting pretty good at blowing his own bubbles.
