Our Trip to the Cottage

Hanging out on the deck at the cottage...and already for bed in his PJ's!

Before bed, Kellen and Abuelita went for a walk down to the water.

Kisses from Lita...Kellen just loves spending time with his Abuelita!

Since Kellen couldn't stay out of the water, we stripped him down to his birthday suit and let him have fun in the water...nice positioning of the rock, Kellen!

Again...nice pose....Kellen knows how to pose without showing off too much skin! He loved playing in the water...and he has absolutely no fear of the water. He kept wanting to just jump off of the boat, off of the deck, etc! Here he is picking up rocks with Abuelita and tossing them into the water!

Watching a boat go by... (do you like the outfit?!)

Hanging out with Abuelita near the beach. He had so much fun just running around and taking it all in...he absolutely loves the outdoors!

Enjoying some quiet time with Abuelita....they had lots of fun playing with the puzzles that Abuelita brought to the cottage.

Handing Abuelita a little rock that he found. Kellen loves to pick up the smallest stones from the ground and give them away as presents!

Looking for frogs with Daddy.

Family picture.

Kellen loved to walk up and down the steps leading from the cottage to the water (although, he still needs a bit of help!)...he looks so cute hanging out in his sun hat and diaper! What a life!

An artist in the making....

Kellen loved the paints that Abuelita brought for him to play with at the cottage. He has never painted before, but he was a natural...he didn't do much painting on the paper (although he did enjoy painting with just water on the paper!)...he mainly painted the deck, his body, and his mouth!

Caught trying to escape! He actually did escape once....it was pretty funny because the moment he opened the screen door, he fell flat onto the deck (it was only one step and the deck had a rubber mat on it), but he was so shocked by the fall, that he never tried that again! (oh, and don't worry, we were all standing there watching him as he "escaped"!)

Cousin Parker came for a visit on our second day at the cottage....aren't they cute together?!?!

Ahhh.....hugs all around! It is so cute how well Kellen and Parker get along now! They are finally at an age where they enjoy being around one another.....they are best buds!

Here is Kellen sneaking up on Parker while Parker was having breakfast.....the moment Parker saw Kellen, he gave him a huge smile and Kellen just wouldn't leave his side!

Cutie!! Here's Kellen sneaking up on my lap while I was taking pictures.

Grandpa was playing the harmonica for Kellen and Kellen couldn't get enough of it! Kellen actually learned to "play" the harmonica by the end of our visit!!! What a smart little boy!

"Wake up everyone!!! I want to play!!!"

Beautiful boy!

Another family picture.....

Collecting water for his toys at the beach.

Shawn found a baby snapping turtle so we put it in the boat so that Kellen could watch it swim around. Kellen loved just watching it swim - and even tried to pick it up a couple of times!

Me interrupting his turtle watching....

The cottage is on this amazing piece of land that has so much space to run around and play...and as you can see, it even has badminton nets! Here are Kellen and Shawn running around having fun!

We're back!!!!

Kellen loves to cover himself with his blankets...or any article of clothing he may find! He puts it over his head and then pulls it down to cover his body....it's really cute to watch him do this when he's tired because he will then just lie down all covered up in his blankie!

So, I must apologize for the length of time with no postings....we have been super, super busy! We just moved to our new house in Ajax a week and 1/2 ago and then spent all last week at the cottage...and on top of all of this, we are trying to unpack, get things for the house, and finalize Kellen's daycare!

Here is Kellen loving every minute of playing on the swings! Woo Hoo!!!

More blanket time....

More swing time.....

Relaxing and watching the other children playing at the park.

Playing in the sandbox...Kellen loves sandboxes!!!

My Sleepover Visit with Parker!

Well, these past couple of days, Kellen and I went to Kingston to visit Auntie April, Uncle Garrett and Parker!! We had so much fun!! It was so cute to watch Kellen and Parker playing and interacting together! Kellen was completely exhausted from his trip to visit Parker - he crashed on the car ride home and fell asleep super fast tonight! Parker survived Kellen's crying and screaming at nighttime - sorry Parker!

On their first day together, Parker introduced Kellen to his new swingset....Kellen was a bit tired because he didn't get much of a nap in the car that day....but he told me that he had lots of fun!

Relaxing and watching the world go by...

"Move over...I'll show you how to get up on a chair"...."Move...I'll do it myself!"....This is how I picture their conversation going!

"Yeah!! We both fit on the chair!"

Here is Parker showing Kellen how to open and close the patio door. Kellen cannot believe Parker is so big that he can actually reach the door knobs!

Here is Kellen hanging out at a park near their house...he is wondering why Parker keeps asking for the mail...and picking at his nose and bum! (hee, hee!)

Kellen trying to figure out how this box with lots of colours works...hmm...

Parker and Kellen playing with a truck before breakfast.

These next 2 pictures are out of order....they look like Parker is sucker-punching Kellen and then Kellen's head is whipping around! Luckily for Kellen, that is not the case. Parker was actually feeding him some of his raspberries....ahhh.

Kellen was just in awe of his big cousin...he was always just staring at him with amazement...and again, wondering why Parker picks his nose so much!

Now, here is Kellen wandering what Parker got while picking his nose..."let me see!"

Kellen had so much fun playing with Uncle Garrett...here they are playing on a moving truck that plays cool music!

Just relaxing and doing his own thing.

A little game of "Where's Kellen/Peek-a-boo" with Uncle Garrett.

Giving his new face...he frowns (but only with his eyebrows!).

"I love you, Parker!" Kellen really did have a great time with Parker! Here he is giving Parker a huge smile.

Kellen was interested in everything that Parker did....here he is just watching as Parker runs around the park.

Behold...Parker Bear!
Playing with the stones at the park...Kellen loves to pick up stones!

Laughing at Auntie April .... she was making funny faces at Kellen while she was pushing him on the swings..."I love you, Auntie April!"

Here is Parker instructing Kellen to do something...Kellen isn't too sure he likes what he hears.

Kellen loved going in the wagon for walks! Here they are on their way to the swimming pool! They had so much fun playing in the water!!

Here is Kellen giving Parker lots of tickles!
Again...Parker teaching Kellen how to open and close doors...and again, Kellen in complete awe of his big cousin!

Kellen watching Parker dancing (and sporting a new bruise on his cheek - he hit his cheek on the edge of the table while bending over to pick up a toy).

Here is Auntie April playing with Kellen...he loved it whenever Auntie April was around!

Before their baths, Kellen and Parker were allowed to play on April and Garrett's bed. It was so much fun to watch them...and impossible to get them together long enough to take a picture...okay, it was impossible to keep Kellen still long enough for a picture! Kellen truly is the more active of the two!

Getting ready for bubbles....so, Parker thought he would pick his nose again!

Ahhh...bubbles!!!

Bathtime! They had a blast playing in the water together!

Relaxing in the wagon.

Listening to Auntie April telling Parker to stop reaching down his diaper to scratch his bum!
A quiet moment between the two boys as they just sat in the wagon on the front lawn.

Kellen getting very sleepy...yet still needing to look around the garage...he loved it in there!
