It is important to keep up with your fitness!

Kellen loves to play games on my Wii Fit! He thinks it is pretty cool that he runs on this board and the person on the television will copy him! He loves to play an obstacle course where you run and have to jump over things...here he is running and jumping along!
Winner!!!!

I love Wii!!!

Yikes...it is Cold Outside!!!

Last week, it was crazy cold outside....it was around -25 degrees....yikes!! Kellen loves to play outside and really wanted to help Shawn shovel the driveway. He likes to climb up the "hill" at the bottom of the yard (where all the snow piles up from shovelling!) and slide down the other end...however, this time, he fell face first from the top of the hill! He was stuck, face down in a star position.....it was soooo funny to see! Kellen didn't see the humour in this - here he is very upset and very cold!

Ear Troubles....again

As most of you know, Kellen has had lots of problems with ear infections. It appeared that the problems were a thing of the past, but unfortunately, the ear infections have returned. Since Christmas, Kellen has had back-to-back colds which leads to ear infections. The tubes have come out of his ears which is causing the ear infections to be pretty bad. Today, his specialist advised us that once again, Kellen needs to have surgery on his ears and have tubes put in again. Poor kid....I hate the idea of him having another surgery, especially after seeing how rough it was on him last time. However, he needs to have it done to stop the pain and discomfort he is always feeling, and to bring his hearing levels back to normal. So, right after his birthday party, Kellen is scheduled for his surgery on March 7....not quite the birthday present he was hoping for!

Proud of His Artwork!

Kellen loves doing arts and crafts....he is always asking to do arts and crafts at home, and loves to come home and show us what he did at daycare. Here he is showing us his mittens and hat craft.
"You wear the hat like this, mommy!"

Kellen's New Way to Watch TV

The other day while I was preparing dinner, Kellen says "Come look at me, Momma!". I walk into the living room to see Kellen just lying on the side of the couch. He likes to just lie there while watching television.
Feeling blah (over the past few days, his ears have been bothering him alot).....but....

....he is still in great spirits!!!

Gaming

So, ever since I got my IPod, it seems that Kellen uses it more than I do! There are so many apps (applications) for games designed for toddlers. We downloaded lots of these games and Kellen has quickly picked up how to play all of them! It is pretty funny to watch a 2 year old scrolling and moving things around on a touch screen like an old pro! Here he is playing a monkey game and no one could break his concentration!

My New Cousin, Lauren!

This an extra picture from Christmas.....baby Lauren is 4 months old now and she was always asleep while we were in Brockville which made it difficult to get her in some of the pictures! So, I thought I would introduce her with this cute picture of Grandpa enjoying a talk with his grand-daughter....isn't she adorable!

Christmas Part 2!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!! Kellen woke up and was quickly excited when he saw his stocking on the floor of his room full of presents! He couldn't contain his excitement at every single chocolate and toy! Eventually, we made it downstairs and he was able to start opening his presents! He was so excited about his first present (a book) that he didn't want to open anymore gifts...he just wanted to sit and read his story! Then, he kept saying "I have an idea. You stay here and I'll be right back" Then he would go upstairs and come back with a little chocolate santa!
So many presents!

Great Nana and Great Pampa enjoying sitting back and watching all of their great grandchildren opening presents! Although it looks like Great Pampa might be in need of a nap!

Grandpa, Uncle Garrett and Parker having fun gathering all of their presents.....yeah for presents! Parker was pretty funny this year - he seems to have figured out that Santa brings presents for you on Christmas which made him super excited about getting and opening presents!

Auntie April helping Kellen open up a present! Thanks for all the cool presents!!

A little twisty worm (it is an orange, fluffy worm on a thin and clear string) was in his stocking in Brockville...of all of his gifts, this was his favourite! He continues to walk around the house pulling his "Twissy Worm" around!

Parker and Kellen opening matching firetruck presents from Lita and Grandpa!!! The trucks make lots of sounds which made them an instant hit!

"I love Christmas!!"

Grandpa, Auntie April and Kellen enjoying some time together.
Ken, Ella, Daddy and Kellen hanging out on Christmas day.

Whenever we asked Kellen what he wanted Santa to bring him for Christmas, he would say "A green car and a clementine"...here is the green car (the clementine is now in his belly!) Kellen loves playing with this remote control car....even though he pretty much just runs it into walls!

Bathtime was lots of fun! We had Kellen and Parker in the tub together during our Brockville stay....and on our first night, baby Ella joined them!

We brought some arts and crafts with us so that Parker and Kellen could make some cool hats
Snow is FUN! Let's go play!!!

Who knows what they are doing in this picture...Honestly, they did not stop playing, running around and just having fun the entire visit!

Just two little cousins having lots of fun together!

The holidays are always so exhausting! We were all just relaxing and a couple of minutes later, Kellen and Grandpa were fast asleep!

Here is Grandpa teaching Parker how to play chess...I think Parker just liked to move these really cool looking things around the board!

Uncle Garrett stuck in the chaos of one of Kellen and Parker's chasing games....boy, did they ever have fun playing with one another!

Cheese!!! Just before we had to leave Brockville, we had this group picture taken. It was so nice to have all of us together, including my Nana and Pampa! By the way, Lauren didn't just happen to float to the top of this picture...It is just Uncle Garrett holding her up!!

Christmas Part 1!

On Christmas Eve, we went over the Auntie Cindy's house for our Christmas with the Sinclair family! We had lots of fun hanging out with Auntie Cindy, Alyjah, Cameron and Grandma!!
Here is Kellen playing a game with Alyjah (I think Kellen was basically just running around mimicking everything that Alyjah was doing!)

Okay, so this picture is completely out of order...but, here is Kellen proudly showing us his note to Santa as well as Santa's snacks! He is also showing off his chocolate mustache from his chocolate milk!
And now, back to Christmas Eve! Here is Kellen loving his time with Alyjah as Alyjah read this story to Kellen (and Kellen made him read this story about 10 times in a row!)

Here are Kellen and Cameron playing with some toys...it is fun to watch them playing around one another!
"You press this button, Cameron!"
Kellen continues to get jealous of other babies....the moment Kellen saw Cameron playing with Shawn, he ran over to get in between them! "No one plays with my daddy except me!!"
When we got home, Kellen was once again drawn to the Christmas tree....he loved looking at the presents and saying "Oooh, is this present for me!??!?! Thank you, Santa!!"
"Oh, Mommy - can I please open that big present!?!?!"
Merry Christmas, everyone!!!

Pre-Christmas Prepping

Before Christmas, we decided to get Kellen's hair cut....here are some pictures of Kellen getting his hair cut and then enjoying some fun time on the mechanical horse (they give you a ride after your hair appointment)...woo hoo to hair cuts!!

And on our way to Auntie Cindy's house for our Christmas with the Sinclair family...he was telling me about all the stuff we still needed to do before Christmas (get cookies for Santa; get some milk for Santa; open a present on Christmas Eve...)
