Acting Silly in the Summer

 On one of our many, many trips to the parks and water parks - Kellen decided he needed to cool off on a super hot day!  We had just stopped in at the park, but it was so hot outside, that he asked if he could get wet - well, he was soaking wet about 30 seconds later, and continued to play in the water for almost an hour!  He loves his water parks!

 ....and all of this fun really tired out the baby!  Here is Sarah falling asleep in the car (while her brother takes her picture).

 Here are some older pictures of Sarah from this past summer.  She always makes such a huge mess when she eats - either on herself, or all over her chair, etc....we have been so used to Kellen (who likes to keep things clean and neat when eating) - so, her messiness drives me crazy:)

 Sarah had her hair trimmed a few months ago, and they gave her bangs!  She looks so darn cute!

Kellen's Spring Concert

 In June, all of the JK/SK classes did a spring concert - each class performed a song, and then all of the little ones came out and surrounded the parents to sing a few more songs.  It was so darn cute!  Kellen's class sang the "I want a juice box" rap - Kellen was pretty excited to show off his moves:)  I will try to upload the video of his class soon!  Here are some pictures of Kellen when they surrounded us to sing their final songs.

 Kellen's school had a fun week - and one of those days was called "wacky sweater day".  Kellen WON!  He was so proud of his wacky sweater!  Way to go, Kellen!

Trying to be Just like Kellen!

 Sarah LOVES to put on Kellen's clothing!  Whenever he is getting changed, she will pick up his clothing, and try to put it on.  One night while I was folding laundry, she kept picking up Kellen's underwear.  So, I decided to put her in Kellen's underwear!  How cute does she look!??!?

 Once the weather started warming up, we started letting Sarah play outside every chance she had.  Sarah quickly began loving the outdoors!  Now, the moment she sees her shoes, she picks them up to bring to us - and wants to get outside!  Here are some pictures of her playing outside in the sand.

Sarah is just starting to understand how to "play".  She actually will pick up toys and play with them!

More Summer Fun!

 Here are a couple of pictures from this summer.  Sarah loves to stand right in front of the television (I am convinced that she thinks that the people on television are real).  She also likes to put her leg up on the television stand.

Kellen was being a great little helper - he was watering the garden and turned the hose onto a stream that was a bit too strong!  The water hit the garden and shot dirt back up - all over Kellen!  He was pretty stunned!  I had a good laugh!

 With the nice weather, we had to go to Dairy Queen!  Here is Sarah enjoying the nice weather (and some of Daddy's ice cream cone!).

 Okay - I realize that it has been about 4 months since I have updated the blog (yikes!!) - but I returned to work April 1, and Sarah began daycare the week prior....it has been chaos ever since!  We have been super busy just getting through life!  I love that I have the summer off with Kellen!  We have been thoroughly enjoying our time together these past two weeks (I know the summer is going to go by too fast).

More June Fun!

 Nothing says the end of the school year like the fair coming to town!  Kellen was so super excited when he saw that the fair was here!  He had a blast going on all the rides (and Sarah had fun just watching!)

The only ride that we could take Sarah on!  She was pretty unsure of this moving horse!

 Back at home, Sarah enjoyed playing games on the IPad  - yes, at 15 months, she has mastered modern technology!

 At the end of June, Lita and Auntie April came for a visit so that we could have a girl's day which included going to see the musical CATS!  We haven't seen this play in at least 25 years - and it was even better than I had remembered it!
