I Hate Tummy-Time...part 2

 I create children that hate tummy time!  Kellen used to hate it when I would put him on his tummy - he would just lie there.  Now, his little sister does the same thing!  Whenever, I put Sarah on her tummy, she just lies there and wonders what in the world has just happened.  Here she is - stuck and waiting for Mommy to turn her over!

Mother's Day Fun!

 For Mother's Day, we had lots of fun at a conservation area and park close to the house.  Here is Sarah not looking too sure about the trip.

 We joined the Moore family for our picnic - here are Kellen and Caden hanging out together before we dished out all of the yummy food.  They are so big now!

 Kellen had lots of fun playing soccer with Raymond, Caden, and Daddy.  

 And, once we got home, Kellen stripped down to enjoy some time in the sprinkler, and made some yummy pumpkin pies made out of sand!

The Hair is Gone!

 Kellen's hair had gotten crazy long and desperately needed a cut.  So, last week we went and finally got it done!  Here he is getting a pony ride after being a super good boy during his hair cut.  What a cutie!!

Baby Sarah.....how your cheeks have grown!

 Sarah continues to fill out (and out!)......here are some pictures of her having fun with Mommy and nappind during dinner.

Any Similarities??

 Well, Shawn and I feel that Sarah looks very much like Lita.  However, others seem to see a resemblance to both Kellen and to Grandpa.  I still don't see too much of a resemblance between Sarah and Grandpa - but for sure, she did inherit his squinty eyes when they both smile (see below).  How sweet that there is maybe a bit of Grandpa in his little granddaughter whom he unfortunately never had the chance to meet. 

 Shawn and I still do not see any resemblance between her and Kellen - okay, their skin colouring, nose and chin(s).....but that's it!

 Grandpa sure did have a beautiful smile - boy, do I miss it so much.  

Daddy's Lawn Care Helper

 Kellen had fun helping Daddy spread some seeds and fertilizer to the grass (after adding lots of soil to the lawn).  He was so careful to walk in straight lines to spread it evenly for his Daddy!  What a great little helper!

My Lita....

Kellen has been pretty attached to Lita over the past several months.  And, since Lita came to stay with us for a couple of weeks when Sarah was born, he has become even more attached.  He gets so excited when we have a visit with Lita and tells me how much he misses her when she leaves (and cries for her).  He will bring Lita up in conversation all the time.  It usually goes something like this "My Lita sings it like this", "My Lita makes the yummiest steak", "My Lita makes good salad", etc.  He likes to tell the teachers at daycare that his Lita can make better food than the food at the daycare (and their food is pretty yummy!).  I think it is fair to say that Kellen absolutely adores his Lita!

Sibling Love

 Kellen is just such a great big brother.  He truly loves his little sister.  He is always looking for her, and tells her that he loves her.  Sarah feels the same toward him - she will turn her head toward him, and gives him the biggest smiles!  Here are some pictures of my two babies together.

 Sarah is always so entertained by Kellen.  Here he is singing her the "On top of spaghetti...." song.

 After his song, Kellen couldn't resist going to give Sarah a hug and kiss - what a great big brother!

 I love how Sarah will just look at Kellen.  What a lucky Mommy I am!

The Kiddies

 Sarah being super adorable in the morning - she has so many beautiful smiles when she wakes up in the morning - I could just watch her forever while I am changing her!

 Kellen was excited to wear his "Parker" shirt this weekend!  He calls it his Parker shirt because he wants to wear it for Parker's birthday (in a few weeks).  Can you believe that Kellen is already wearing size 5T!?!?!

 I thought Sarah had a super cute expression while watching Kellen the other day - Kellen was dancing for her, and she was just staring at him (and styling a super cute baby sweater!)

Sarah Loves Lita

 

 Lita came up for a visit last week - we loved having her stay with us for a few days!  Here are some pictures of Sarah and Lita hanging out together.  Sarah loves getting cuddles from her Lita - she even started giving Lita some of her super cute baby smiles!

Kellen - Mr. Independent

 Kellen really is starting to love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (or just jelly sandwiches).  Here he is having his lunch with Mommy the other day.

 Kellen is so good at occupying his time all by himself.  Here he is doing a puzzle while I was making lunch for us.

 and, while Mommy was having a little rest, he just played games on the computer - what a great kid!
