Mommy and I survived my immunization shots!

Kellen had his 2 month appointment today....he has grown soooo much since last month! He weighs 12 pounds, 2 ounces and is 24 inches long!!! This is why so much of his clothing no longer fits him!

He was also a trooper when he got his immunization shots...he cried for about 20 seconds with each needle and then I fed him and he fell asleep for about 3 hours! He is having a cranky night right now, but hopefully the baby tylenol helps him out a little!

Mommy's nose is not a toy

Kellen still won't take a soother, and he is trying to find his thumb, but in the meantime, he likes mommy's nose! First it was his toy's big red nose, now it's mommy's nose! Whenever I am lying down with him, he will move toward my face and start sucking on my nose! At first it was funny, but now, my nose is getting a bit raw! Hurry up and find your thumb, Kellen!

Kellen at Bath Time

Kellen is getting much better at just lying back and enjoying his baths...plus, he now fits in his bath tub and holds himself up with his legs! When we first started giving him baths, we had to hold him up because he was so small, he would sink into the bath! We find out tomorrow how much Kellen has grown at his 2 month doctor's appointment.

My First Trip to Visit my Grandpa and Abuelita!

Kellen had his first trip to Brockville this weekend to visit his Grandpa and Abuelita....he was very excited, but I don't think as excited as they were! We all had lots of fun on our trip...Kellen loved spending time with his grandparents and especially loved sleeping in their bed for his naps! He also wanted to say thank-you to his Abuelita for holding him for hours while he slept..he had the best sleep ever! We can't wait for our next visit!

My First Trip to Brockville

Shawn and I took Kellen to Brockville for the first time this weekend...we were a bit worried about how Kellen would travel, but as you can see from the pictures, he found the trip very, very relaxing! He slept the entire trip (including being stuck in Toronto traffic for an hour!)...what a good baby!

Kellen has been smiling and making lots of cute faces lately...here are a couple of his new looks that he has been trying out...these are his laid back, cool look....very cute!

I need Baby Rogaine and boy, am I mad!

Kellen has started to lose his baby hair and now has some balding spots on the back of his head (from where he rubs his head on his crib mattress). I am so sad that he is losing his hair because I think it is so adorable...I wonder what he'll look like bald!??!!? As you can see, Kellen is not very happy about this either!

Here are some random pictures of Kellen that we thought he looked very cute in...we can't believe how much he is growing now! He is getting so much bigger (and rounder!) and is so much more alert and just wanting to hang out and look around at everything. Of course, he still has his crazy fussy period most nights, but he is starting his fussiness a bit earlier in the evenings and ending it around 12-12:30 - which is better for mommy and daddy!

Mommy and Daddy are sick...but I'm happy!

Shawn and I have been sick this weekend with a cold (Shawn has been very sick)...luckily, Kellen seems to be okay - we hope he doesn't get sick in the near future!

Here are some pictures of Kellen in his favourite chair hanging out with mommy and daddy. He has been smiling alot now whenever you smile at him. He also is starting to chuckle in a really funny way...he gives about 3 chuckles, along with his baby smile, while doing this thing where he looks like he is sucking wind (his belly goes in and out quickly with each chuckle...sort of like Santa!). Kellen also likes to make more noises now while you are talking to him...so cute!

Whenever Kellen is waking up, he makes alot of noises (very loud noises and grunts) for about 20-30 minutes before he actually is awake...he also starts to fart along with his noises, which can be very funny to hear.

Here is a video of Kellen waking up from a nap...the video is a bit long and there is about 20 seconds of nothing but watching Kellen sleep (yes, it is something only his mommy can appreciate!)...but watch for his adorable baby smile followed by the fart!

Here is a video of Kellen wanting to be fed after waking up from a nap...he does this really cute thing where he pecks at your shoulder like a little bird looking for food...ahh, isn't he adorable!?!?!

Kellen on a beautiful spring day

With this beautiful weather, Kellen has been enjoying going out for walks, taking naps while listening to the birds chirping outside, and wearing clothes that show off his little arms and legs!

Here are some pictures from our afternoon after a walk...of course, the cranky baby picture was when he had had enough of the pictures being taken and wanted some food after his nap!

More Daddy Time

Kellen just loves hanging out with his daddy...whether they are just sitting down having a chat, or lying down together for a nap.

Kellen has also started smiling at us which just absolutely melts our hearts ... we just haven't been fast enough with the camera to capture it yet - but trust us, it's precious!!!

These last couple of days, Kellen must be going through a growth spurt because he is eating about every 1 1/2 to 2 hours...lots of fun for mommy! I weighed myself and Kellen yesterday and Kellen has gained about a pound since last week...that is alot for a baby!!! He is definately starting to look like he is gaining weight as his whole body (especially the cheeks!) are filling out and he is starting to get rolls on his wrists and thighs!!
