Happy Mothers Day!!

Well, it was my first Mother's Day and Kellen tried really hard to be a good sport for me...he started the day by giving me a very nice Mother's day card that he picked out himself! Then, we took Kellen to the park (after having to drive around for 1 hour to get him to sleep...yes, it was a cranky day for Kellen as he was having trouble sleeping because of his weening cold). You can't tell from his sleeping picture, but we think he really liked all the trees and grass! Kellen also tried out his Baby Bjorn (carrier) for the first time (again because he couldn't sleep well, so daddy had to walk around with him). Finally, we ended our day with a bath...Kellen loves the water and has had to move into his bath seat because he is too big for his baby bathtub!

Kellen is now able to wear so many more outfits now that he had gained a few pounds! Here he is in the "bug" outfit that his Abuelita bought him this past Christmas (way back when he was still in my belly!)...he is also sporting his jean overalls that his cousin Parker gave to him (on loan)...Kellen can't wait to visit with his cousin Parker next weekend!

I hate tummy time

We have been trying to get Kellen to do his "tummy time" to strengthen up his back and neck muscles...however, as you can see from the pictures, this is what Kellen does whenever we try to do tummy time. Kellen just lies there and refuses to work any muscles...then, after about 2 minutes, he has had enough and gets upset (and still hasn't done his exercises!). I'm now convinced Kellen will be 2 years old and will still just lie there whenever he is put on his stomach!

Here are some pictures of Kellen in his crib talking, laughing and smiling at his mobile...he absolutely loves to just stare at the animals moving around and never seems to get bored of this!

Kellen was also practicing some of his soccer skills by doing some kicks in his gym shorts that Auntie April and Uncle Garrett got him.





And all that fun of playing in his crib while looking at his mobile friend's (his favourite is the zebra!) wore him out...here is Kellen having an afternoon nap (he still has to sleep on a bit on an incline due to his stuffy nose).

Here are some pictures of Kellen hanging out on his sick day at home with mommy (okay all his days are at home with mommy, but this one is a sick day)...he is sleeping alot trying to get rid of his cold. Even though he is sick, he is still able to have a little cute baby time with mommy where he laughs and smiles....ahhh, so adorable!

When Kellen woke up around 3:30 this morning to be fed, he was sounding very stuffed up and congested...he has been feeling yucky all morning and is still very stuffed up...poor baby! So, we have had Kellen sleeping sitting up on the bed and with us so that he can breath a little easier.

Kellen went to his great grandma's house yesterday to help celebrate his grandma and his aunt Dorota's birthdays! It was the first time many people got to meet Kellen and Kellen was super well behaved!!
