Thanksgiving 2011

This past weekend, we were in Brockville to celebrate Thanksgiving with the family....there were 23 of us in total! The weather, food, and company was amazing!

Here is Kellen having fun getting into a box....Why? Only a 3 year old would understand.
Mackensie helping Lauren take a couple of steps.
I love her adorable smile!!
Running for safety from George!
.....and hamming it up for Uncle Garrett!
I love this picture of Parker and Kellen. They are so darn cute together!
Shawn having fun playing with George (Ali and Darryl's newest dog).
Trying to get a picture of all the girls - we are all looking for Lita and wondering how long it would take her to join us.
....So, some of the female cousins decided to get a picture together - and Kellen thought we needed a cute little boy in the picture - I agree!
.....Here we go! All the girls together!
Levi with her girls! It is so nice to have Caroline back in the same country as the rest of the family! Parker thought the picture needed a boy to even it out - I agree! Parker added a new level of cuteness!
Lita with her girls!
A quiet moment between Caroline and Parker while hanging out on Lita and Grandpa's new hammock.
Mischief.
Ella getting lovings from her Mommy (Ali).
Silliness between cousins.
"Get this dog away from me!! NOW!!!" Parker is not a fan of dogs!
Enjoying some time playing in the leaves. April was throwing leaves up in the air, and the boys thought it was super fun!
Parker and Kellen were having a blast rolling down the hill in the backyard....okay, Kellen was having a blast, and Parker was wondering what was so fun about spinning quickly down a hill!
Caroline having fun hanging out with Lauren.
Lauren was lucky to get some cuddles from her Great Grandpa.
Great Nana and Auntie April having fun together while enjoying the beautiful weather!
Auntie April and I are so lucky to have had both our grandparents from Montreal with us this past weekend.
The sillies strike again.
Kennedy hanging out with George.
Kellen loved hanging out with George - he had a love/fear relationship with George. He wanted to play with George, but was both excited and scared if George got up to chase him!
Nathalie and Mommy - having fun and catching up together.
I love this picture of Grandpa with both of his parents (Great Nana and Great Grandpa).
Caroline deep in thought while helping to feed Lauren.
Lita with Lauren....ahhh, so cute together!
Here is Kellen helping Shawn put down the umbrella. He was so proud of his work.
I copied these pictures from Uncle Garrett (Thanks, Uncle Garrett!!) He took this amazing family portrait shot - what a great bunch!
I love this picture! Lita and Grandpa with Great Nana and Great Grandpa.
Hi beautiful boy!
I love the look on Parker's face - what a great kid!

Relaxing

Last weekend was pretty cold outside, so we decided to grab some hot chocolates after playing outside. Kellen felt really cool holding his very own Tim Horton's cup. Check him out, sipping his Tim's!
....And, watching some Disney Junior.
Then finding some time to bust a move!

Baking Cookies with Mommy

Last week, Kellen and I made some cookies together! It was a box of the pre-made, cut out cookies that were decorated with little pumpkins....Kellen thought they were the best thing ever invented!
Chugging a "milkshake" (aka: yogurt smoothie) before attempting to arrange the cookies on the cookie sheet.
...And, here we go. It was so cute how he arranged the cookies...he put them all tightly together in one corner of the tray. Needless to say, when he wasn't looking, I had to rearrange the cookies before they went into the oven!

Watching his cookies bake.
Super excited (and proud) to start trying out his cookies!
Super proud to give his Daddy a cookie.

Sick Day

Two weeks ago, Kellen was home for three days with the flu. The season of illnesses has begun at his daycare. This week, he has strep throat - poor kid! Here he is taking a little nap on one of his days at home.

Apple Picking

Last weekend, we went to Archibald's Orchards. They have a huge selection of apples and it is a great place to go with little ones. We went with Sharlene, Raymond, and Caden.

Kellen had so much fun! He was so excited by all of the apples - he didn't know where to start!
Showing me his perfect apple!
Putting his apples in our bag.

Counting up his apples.
Kellen took his job of picking apples very seriously. He kept reminding me that we don't eat the apples that have fallen on the ground. He also kept looking for the apples that were really red in colour.

Proud of his apple picking skills.

All smiles with Daddy.
Kellen fit perfectly under the apple trees!
How cute is this?!? Caden and Kellen decided to hold hands while walking down the road to another section of apple trees.
Kellen and Daddy picking Yellow Delicious apples.....our bag is almost full!
Proud of his apple picking skills.
Getting a little boost from Daddy to reach apples from the top of the trees.
Trying out some apples to see if they were as good as they looked - Kellen thought they were delicious! He ate 2 apples!
......still eating.
Archibalds has a little play area where they have tractors, a sandbox, a "haunted house" and a couple of other fun little things for the kids. While Kellen was waiting for his turn on one of the bigger tractors, he decided to ride the baby tractor around....I think he might be a bit too big for this!
Finally, on one of the big tractors! He was distracted by the haunted house that was behind me.
He had some trouble getting his tractor through the sand - so, Daddy stepped in to give him a little push.
