Our Annual Trip to Whittamore Farm for Pumpkins

Last weekend, we went with Shawn's family to Whittamore Farms. We go every year around this time to enjoy the Halloween activities and to pick out our pumpkins. Luckily, we had beautiful weather for our day at the farm.

Here are Kellen and Mommy about to enter the farm.

All smiles in the pumpkin patch! He wanted to take home every second pumpkin that he saw!
His head was cold, so he put his hat back on.
The first thing that Kellen wanted to do was go in the jumping castle. Here he is in line waiting for his turn - and while he was waiting, he decided to climb the little fence.
This child has no fear.

Yippee!!! It is finally our turn!

Next, Kellen wanted to climb up to the top of the hay stacks.....he was too little to get up each level - luckily, a nice woman helped him up for me.
"I did it!" Once he was at the top, he was a little nervous.
The farm has "horse" rides that are made out of old tires. Kellen named his "horsey"
Kellen loved climbing through the huge tires....
....but, got stuck trying to get through the smaller ones!
He had a blast playing on this huge play structure.
....and he had more courage climbing the hay stacks with Daddy.
Getting some help from Daddy at walking across the tires.

Kellen and Cameron had fun walking across the tires - they thought it was a plank (like on a pirate ship).
Cute little cousins.
Daddy and Alyjah - they are almost the same height!
Boo!!! We went for a tractor ride through a haunted forest! It had ghosts and goblins hanging from the trees....and people dressed up as werewolves that ran out - scary!!
Having fun in the mini tractor pit.
Cameron needed a bit of help from his big brother.
Kellen was excited to pick out his baby pumpkin.
....he was so excited that he chose all of these baby pumpkins! Here he is trying to decide which one would be coming home with us.
Family shot on the tractor ride.
Cameron and Alyjah on the tractor ride.
Big smiles with Daddy - Kellen really liked going on the tractor.
The farm has this giant slide - you have to climb up a good sized hill to get to the top.....naturally, Kellen wanted to go down the slide all day - again, no fear!

....Now, time to choose our big pumpkin.
Daddy and Kellen.
Mommy and Kellen.
Cameron wondering why he keeps being put in a pumpkin patch for so many pictures.
Kellen wanted to get in the conversation that Daddy was having with Alyjah - Kellen looks so small compare to them!

Cameron's 2nd Birthday Party

Last weekend was our crazy busy weekend - and Cameron's birthday party was the last fun event in our day. Cameron's birthday party was held at McDonald's! They had a cool play area that had lots of climbing areas and fun slides. Kellen (and the other kids) had a blast playing!

Here is Kellen very excited with his McDonald's crown - he thought it made him look like Jake the Pirate!
A Thomas the Train birthday cake - yum!
Checking out the rain coming down outside.
Thoroughly happy to have another birthday cake to dig into!
"Look at me, Mom!" Kellen had so much fun climbing up the jungle gym!
Cameron and Kellen sharing some hugs.
Grandma helping Cameron open a present. He was so curious to see what was in each of his wrapped gifts.
"Ooooh - what is in here?!?!?!?"

Ryder's 2nd Birthday Party

Last weekend, we were crazy busy. First, Kellen had soccer from 10-11. Then, we had Ryder's 2nd birthday party from 11-1. Finally, we had Cameron's 2nd birthday party from 2-4! Needless to say, we were all very tired by the end of the day!

Kellen and Ryder now having more fun together. Here they are playing cars together.

And now, Kellen is showing Ryder how to hit the balloons so that they bounce right back up.
Loving the nacho chips.
Enjoying the yummy treats together.
"Happy birthday to Ryder....."
Ryder loves anything to do with the movie, Cars. He loved his Cars themed birthday cake!
One happy birthday boy - and a very curious Kellen!
Ryder liked the cars that came on his cake more than he liked the cake!
....Kellen wasted no time digging into the yummy chocolate cake!

Soccer on a Cold Day

Last weekend, Kellen's soccer practice was outside (even though it was freezing!!!). The church that we usually use on cold days was booked, so it was outside or no soccer (the kids chose to ignore the cold weather and stay outside). Here is Kellen all bundled up and ready to play!
It can be hard to kick the ball when you are wearing so many layers of clothing that your legs do not bend!
Wondering if soccer is almost over so that we can get some hot chocolates!
Nicely listening to coach Steve.
Frozen, but happy!

My Lita Says....

For the past two weeks, Kellen starts many conversations with "My Lita says.....". He will be doing a puzzle, and say "My Lita says that this piece goes here". We will be going for a walk, and he will say "My Lita says we are supposed to walk this way". We will go to the park, and he will say "My Lita says this is my favourite park!". You get the picture! When I ask him when Lita told him these things, he tells me that she says it to him when she calls him, or when she comes over to play. He then tells me that he loves his Lita sooooo much, and asks when she is coming over to play - what a cutie!!!

My Newest Haircut

Last week, Kellen got his haircut. His hair grows pretty quickly - and gets really thick. We always go to Melonheads. They only cut children's hair, and are amazing with little ones!

Here is Kellen all prepped for the start of his haircut.....today, he chose the little plane!

I love how darn adorable he looks after a haircut!
It was pouring rain after we left.....so, Kellen got out his umbrella for our walk back to the car.
Cutie!

Fun Times in Brockville

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Kellen had time to hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather in Brockville. Here he is going for a walk with Lita (and getting to ride his favourite little bike!)
Having fun at the park - the slides were super fast!
Climbing up the side ladder all by himself!
....and getting stuck - thankfully, Lita was there to help him out!
Having fun on the teeter-totter.
And going for a nature hike with Lita through the woods behind the park.
Kellen was pretty sure that he heard a monster. Here he is trying to get Lita to hear the monster with him.....luckily, they decided that the monster had left.
Back for more fun on the teeter-totter.
My little monkey - hanging on the parallel bars.
"Watch me, Lita!"
Checking to see if the monster returned
"Come on, Lita! Let's check it out!"
On our way home, Kellen tried to touch the leaves of every tree that we passed by - he tried very hard to jump high enough to touch the leave......this tree may have been a little bit too tall for him!
Lita and Grandpa bought a hammock! Kellen fell in love with it!
Going for a walk with Dad.
"Hey guys!"
