Happy Birthday Abuelita!

We went to Brockville this weekend to celebrate Abuelita's birthday! Kellen was such a good baby...he survived the 7 hour car ride to Brockville on Friday night (darn holiday traffic and construction!) and then survived his cousin Parker waking him up during his naps and at 4:30 in the morning! Good thing he loves his cousin soooo much...he told me that he already misses playing with Parker! It was so fun to watch the two babies with one another...they loved to just look at each other...ahh, so cute!

Kellen also has a new favourite toy..it's a box (a soft one made of materials and things to pull on, teeth on, etc)..he loves to chew on it and look at his reflection on the mirror it has...whenever he sees his reflection, he squeals then quickly brings the box to his face and smothers the mirror with a drooly kiss!

Morning fun with Daddy

Kellen was having lots of fun with Daddy this morning, so I decided to take some pictures of them hanging out and laughing at each other! Kellen is really liking it when people hold him so that he is standing up or hold in the air so that he is an airplane! He also likes to touch the computer's keyboard..notice our fonts are all different now?!

Kellen slept super well last night..he slept for 3 1/2 hours in the car yesterday on our way home from Brockville then slept for 11 hours last night (no...not straight..don't get too excited!)..but, he only woke up once!!! Yeah for long car rides and the introduction of rice cereal...Kellen still isn't completely sold on the whole cereal thing...he's like "why do you keep sticking this spoon in my mouth?!!!?"....pictures of this new experience are coming soon!

BTW..there is something wrong with our camera...all our pictures look like they are hazy yet glowing...hmmm, very weird.

Kellen and Parker...best buds

April, Garrett and Parker stopped in for a quick visit yesterday on their way from from Dresden. It was so much fun seeing them and having Kellen and Parker play together!! Parker still seems very interested in Kellen..he even held Kellen's hand! Kellen still seems like he could take it or leave it!
Here is Kellen hanging out with Auntie April...he had lots of fun just looking at her and wondering what she was doing! (he was a little tired...overdue for a nap....so he didn't quite have fun with being tossed in the air!)

I am trying to sit all by myself....

Lately, Kellen is trying really hard to sit all by himself. He can hold a very forward position for a little while, but this is what usually happens...he falls forward and looks like he's trying to crawl! Once he's down there, he figures he might as well just try and eat his toy!

What do I like more...thumb or toe?

These pictures are of Kellen after his bath yesterday...for the last couple of days, he has been obsessed with sucking on his big toe! Every chance he gets, he brings his big toe to his mouth!

But wait, he still loves his thumb...thumb or toe? It's so hard to decide which one is better!

Kellen has found a way to bust out of his PJ's...here he is playing with his feet and laughing at the silly noises and dancing that mommy was doing!

Here is Kellen hiding in between the pillows...he is getting so good at grabbing things and holding them...he also loves to bring soft things to his face and rub them on his cheeks...then naturally, it must go for the taste test afterward! (all things must go to the mouth!!)
