Give me a "V-I-D-E-O"

This is a video of Kellen making a strange new noise....he started it the other day.

This video is showing how Kellen loves to eat bananas with Shawn.

And the last video (below) was taken about 2 months ago at my parents house. Kellen was making crazy noises to my dad during a game of peek-a-boo on Grandpa's bed. This is a video of Abuelita and Grandpa trying get Kellen to make the same noises.

Just staring out the Window

This is a picture I took yesterday....as you can see, Kellen continues to not feel well and was just plain miserable. I miss my happy, smiling baby!

Auntie Cindy bought Kellen stackable cups and he just loves them! When he's not rolling them on the floor, or trying to stack them, he is trying to eat them!

"Mommy-you're silly!" Kellen was getting a kick out of me trying to take his picture while he was looking out the window.

Kellen has become a master window opener...he loves to play with the hinge that opens and closes the windows...not so much fun when it is super cold outside!

"And, if I just pull this down...."

This is Kellen after I said "no" to opening the window...too chilly!" Kellen wasn't too sure why anyone wouldn't want the window opened and closed a couple of times....

....So he opened it when he thought I wasn't looking.

And, here is Kellen just checking out some people walking down the street. He recently joined the Neighbourhood Watch Program, so watch out people - Kellen sees all!!!

I think I can....

Kellen absolutely loves to pull himself up so that he is standing at the television (which leaves behind lots of baby hand prints for me to clean up!!)...this is where he actually started practicing standing with no support. We don't have a picture to prove it, but he is getting better at it...promise!

Here is Kellen and mommy getting ready for bathtime. We were having fun as I was tickling Kellen and he was laughing non-stop! His shirt got stuck on his head while I was trying to take it off and we just went with it!

This is Kellen mid-jump....anyone who knows Kellen knows that every single time you hold Kellen in a standing position, he immediately starts to jump. I blame the Jolly Jumper for this....darn you, Jolly Jumper, for teaching Kellen to jump all the time!!

Kellen is getting better all the time at learning how to stand for a couple of seconds without any support. He was doing a really good job at standing on his change table (supervised, of course!) but by the time we got the camera, he wasn't really doing it anymore. Oh well, here's a video of him standing for 1/2 a second...he's still really cute to watch! By the way, don't you love his shirt that he's wearing on his head....it got stuck when we were trying to take it off and Kellen seemed to like it.

Kellen vs The Gate

Kellen loves to pull himself up and look around the baby gate....he also loves to swing the door open and closed - the things babies find fun! Here he is playing peek-a-boo with daddy!

Here are a couple of pictures of Kellen while he was watching daddy vaccuuming....like I've mentioned before, Kellen has a love-hate relationship with the vaccuum....he is completely obsessed with watching it, but if it gets too close, he will start to cry. So, here he is safely behind his gate. I also thought he looked extra cute in only his diapers!

Pre-sickness Cuteness

Kellen loves to use his favourite vibrating chair for anything but sitting! Here he is climbing on it before he decided to flip it over and pull it across the floor!
Kellen has been feeling very under the weather lately. He has had a fever and has not been eating very much over the past couple of days. He has been super cranky because he is so uncomfortable...poor little guy.
Kellen now loves to pull himself up to the television and touch all the buttons...luckily Shawn has already installed the baby proofing devise that won't allow Kellen to stick his fingers in the VCR...which he has already tried to do on many occasion!
BTW: check out our mini Christmas tree to the right of the television...ahh, isn't it cute?!?

This is Kellen helping daddy out while we were trying to get the corner buffers on the table...who knew they made great chew toys!?!? Here is Kellen investigating these interesting contraptions.

This is a picture I took as Kellen was falling onto his little bum...while he was standing at the table and still checking out the corner protector, he fell backward...he's okay though!

He recovered quickly from his little fall and was back up and standing again in no time!

Here is Kellen investigating and then trying to eat the Christmas ornament that Grandma brought him.

On of Kellen's new favourite games to play is to roll the ball back and forth...well, you actually have to roll it to Kellen and then take it from him to roll back to him. Everytime he grabs the ball he squeals and then eats the tags on the ball...it's really funny to watch!

Welcome Baby Vivien

Here is Kellen hanging out downstairs at our neighbours place while we were visiting the newest arrival....Miles and Hong Zhu welcomed a baby girl, Vivien, 2 weeks ago! She is absolutely adorable and sooooo small! It is fun to watch Kellen with her...I don't think he quite understands that she is actually a person and not a doll! He just stares at her and then tries to poke or paw at her.

Yummy Bun!

Last week Grandma came for dinner and to visit Kellen! She brought him his very first tree ornament! Kellen had a great time visiting with Grandma and finally he didn't cry when she was holding him....yeah!!!

Ever since Kellen started eating finger foods, he has become obsessed with eating whatever Shawn and I are eating. He especially loves it when Shawn is eating a banana...he will not give up until Shawn shares the banana with him! It is really cute because Kellen will keep crawling over to Shawn and standing up and reaching for the banana.

This was Shawn's bun that he was having with his dinner. Before he could even bite into it, Kellen quickly came over and started eating it! I was shocked by how well he could actually bite little pieces off of the bun!
