Kellen at Play...

Kellen loves to grab at, and attempt to eat, feet! He finds it super funny how people will wiggle their toes...weird, eh!??! While Shawn was watching the television while we were in Brockville, Kellen was trying to attack (and by attack, I mean eat!) his toes!

Kellen is completely obsessed with opening and closing all cupboard doors, doors to rooms, and any other thing that has hinges on it! When we were in Brockville for Christmas, Kellen spent most of his time opening and closing the doors to the cupboards under my parents television.

Here are some pictures (naturally, in reverse order...darn!) of Kellen crawling away from me and coming back into the room after I called after him. He loved the tiles in the hallway....even though he would always slip on them and do a great spread eagle pose!

Shawn and Kellen were having a blast playing with the cardboard rolls from the wrapping paper. They would make noises at each other through the tubes, look at one another through them, and then use the rolls as swords. Kellen was cracking up the whole time....and I think Shawn was actually having more fun than Kellen!

One of Kellen's new toys from Christmas is a little scooter/chair that we bought him. He doesn't quite understand what he is supposed to do with it yet, so he just stares at it and will push it around. Here he is learning how to sit on it while Shawn takes him for a spin around our place! As you can see, he is wondering why in the world he is on something that is moving!

Kellen get Parker a cell phone and key ring (baby style of course!) for Christmas. However, since we bought it, Kellen has been playing with it all the time. So, we thought we would buy Kellen his own cell phone that rings and plays music! Here he is checking out his new phone and wondering how to answer it!

For the past 2 weeks, Kellen has started to go through separation anxiety. He is obsessed with being with mommy all the time. He is okay if I'm not in the room, but the moment he sees me, he will crawl over and climb up my leg! He will just stand there holding onto me until I pick him up...then, he is the happiest little guy in the world! It is pretty cute, but it makes getting anything done these days pretty difficult!

While we were in Brockville, Great Grandpa was having a nap in the family room while we were playing on the floor. Well, Great Grandp started to snore (very loudly) and everytime he would snore, Kellen would stop playing and just stare at him with the cutest, inquisitive look. Here is Kellen giving Great Grandpa that look....

Since Kellen keeps falling off his new toy, he decided it was best to beat the toy up! Here he is flipping it over a couple of times...take that!

My First Christmas!

Kellen had a great time during his very first Christmas!!! He got the chance to see so many relatives and got lots of nice presents to play with! Here he is playing with Abuelita and some Christmas bells she has.....ooohh, lots of fun!
Spending some time with Grandpa...it is really cute how Kellen will always look at Grandpa when you ask him "Where's Grandpa?"....someone loves their Grandpa!

Kellen had the chance to hang out with his grandparents and great-grandparents while we were in Brockville...how lucky is he?!? Although, by the look of this picture, he was ready to go off and play instead of pose for another picture!

Kellen had a great time playing with his Great Nana....here she is singing to him and he was just having a good time sitting and listening.

One of Kellen's new toys is this thing that you can convert to either a scooter or a "learn to walk" toy. Kellen didn't really understand what to do with it, so he would just sit on it.......and fall off of it (as you can see 2 pictures down....Blogger is not doing a good job downloading pictures today!)

This is Kellen on Christmas morning! He is wearing his special Christmas outfit that Abuelita and Grandpa got him (cousin Parker has a matching outfit!)...the pants were a bit too big, but still looked great! Kellen had lots of fun checking out his new toys!

Kellen loves to hang out with Grandpa and Abuelita in their bed. Here he is one morning right after getting up....nothing like starting the day with a snuggle from your grandparents!

Grandpa had a flashlight that he would shine on the ceiling....Kellen was mesmorized by the light and kept trying to grab the light and/or the flashlight...very cute!

My Toy Bucket is Fun!

Kellen loves to pull himself up on everything so that he can look inside things, pull things down,etc. He loves to stand up and look inside his toy bucket to yank things out...sometimes he gets too excited and bonks himself in the head with a toy or with the bucket!

Here he is investigating something that has caught his eye.

...."So I better get down there and get it!"

...."Oooh, my chair! I think I'll play with this instead!"

Kellen has had a super bad rash on his bum for a month now. It sometimes seems to be getting better and then it spreads and looks worse...poor little guy. In the meantime, we give him lots of time without his diaper so that the rash can air out and hopefully, dry up. It is really cute to see Kellen crawling all over the place without his diaper on...except when we have to clean up little pee mishaps!

Kellen is just now starting to accept Mr. Piggy. Mr. Piggy makes a grunting noise whenever you squeeze his belly and it always scared Kellen. He would grab Mr. Piggy and throw him away from him! Now, he just stares at Mr. Piggy and sometimes will feel brave enough to venture over and touch him. Mr. Piggy is very happy.
