Kellen is a Little Kicker!!!

Today, Kellen officially became a Little Kicker! He had has very first soccer practice today with the "Little Kickers" program! The program is every Saturday for 45 minutes. We weren't too sure what to expect, but we were very, very impressed. It is very organized and completely tailored to Kellen's age group. He even got his very own soccer uniform!

Here is Kellen doing a spin in his brand new soccer uniform!
...and showing me the back of his uniform.
And now practicing running with the soccer ball (They call it practicing their little kicks, aka: dribbling). The soccer balls are so small - it is pretty cute to watch!
And big kick!

And sitting down to relax before it all begins.
Everyone helped Coach Steve put the soccer balls away so that the actual practice could begin.
Sitting together to say hello to all their friends.
And warming up their muscles by shaking out their arms, elbows, hips, and legs.
Watching Coach Steve set up for a drill.
And having a water break. Soccer practice was at 3pm today and it is 32 degrees outside...yikes!
Sitting on the orange line while the coaches set up the nets.
"On your mark...get set...GO!!"
Moving the ball all around their bodies.
And ending by putting your foot on your soccer ball to help stop and control the ball.
Watching Coach Steve set up for the next drill.
Little kicks across the field and....GOAL!!

At the end of practice the coaches bring everyone together and they do 3 cheers for Little Kickers!!! And, then everyone gets a sticker!
Hooray!!

He had lots of fun! And I agree, he looks pretty cute in his uniform! You will have to visit on a weekend so that you can see him at his soccer practice!
