Canada Day!

We had a very busy Canada Day long weekend. We went to some activities that were being held in Ajax; then we had Shawn's family visit for a BBQ, followed by the Moore family for another BBQ.  Sarah enjoyed some nice cuddles with Grandma, as well as hanging out with Cameron.
Sarah had fun checking things out during our BBQ's - she really likes just sitting outside and relaxing.
Kellen and Caden playing in the backyard.
Getting ready to light up some sparklers.
Caden thought the sparklers were great; Kellen didn't share this sentiment - he quickly ran away.
Instead, Kellen enjoyed a giant bowl of fruit salad.  I have been making lots of fruit salad lately - and Kellen eats it all up within a day!

Meanwhile, Sarah was having fun in the bath!

Just Some Stuff

Sarah has started to enjoy taking her stuffed giraffe with her - she sucks on the arms!  Here she is relaxing in her car seat with her new friend.

Kellen was showing me his new cool trick - he can use his legs as a slide for the ball!  He showed me this trick for about 30 minutes...
A happy baby just hanging out while her brother plays around her - he loves to bring her all of his toys - he piles them up all around her.
Getting lots of tickles from Daddy.
Agent OSO is hilarious!!!  She was actually giggling at the television - probably not at what we were laughing at, but it was still pretty funny to see!

Is There a Doctor in the House?

The other day, Sarah was up and having lots of fun just hanging out - and waiting for her brother to wake up.  Here she is giving me a super cute look (check out those cheeks!) and having fun reading her favourite book, "Oh the wonderful sounds Mr. Brown can do...".
Super happy to be hanging out in Kellen's bed.
Do you think they love each other?!?!

Water Fun

Every single day, Kellen is outside playing in the water.  Here he is trying to make rainbows with the hose.

Sarah is not too sure about touching the grass.  She likes to touch it, then she wants off.  Here she is with Daddy trying out this whole grass thing.
"Let me smell this green stuff"
 This is Sarah's investigative face.
This is Sarah being super cute at the pool.
Kellen and Caden had a blast playing in the splash pad and wading pools.
I love Sarah's face in this picture - she was having lots of fun putting her little feet in the water with Daddy.
Check out her cute bathing suit!  (and rolls!)

 Woo Hoo!!!

 Sunbathing.

Bumbo Chair

Beautiful, smiling baby.  Sarah is such a happy baby - even if she is crying, if you pick her up, she immediately starts to smile.  What a cutie!
Sarah has been sitting in her Bumbo chair for the past two weeks....she is getting really good at sitting up in it!  Here she is on the first day in her new chair - and trying to get Kellen's attention.
 Watching television.

The Protective Big Brother

Kellen is very protective over Sarah.  He is always watching her to make sure that she is safe.  If she starts to lean too much in her chairs, he tells us right away so that we can fix it.   He loves to watch her in her swing (and bring her lots of stuffed animals!).

Two weeks ago, Sarah had a rash that the doctors didn't like.  She was sent to the hospital and to a specialist - they don't believe it is anything bad at this point - thank goodness.  However, when they told us that she needed to go to the hospital, Kellen went very quiet.  He went to stand beside Sarah and held her hand, and said "you have to go to the hospital now, Sarah" and began to cry.  It broke my heart.

Father's Day in Brockville - Remembering Grandpa

Over Father's Day weekend, we all traveled to Brockville to remember Grandpa.  Grandpa's gravestone (headstone) had been placed, so the entire family went to the cemetery to place flowers, and to tell Grandpa that we are always thinking of him.

Here are Lita and Sarah hanging out on the deck.  Right after I took these pictures, Sarah started sucking on Lita's arm - it was pretty funny.

At the cemetery - Lita brought some of Grandpa's stuff, like his cane, his favourite shoes, and some pictures.  It was a beautiful day to celebrate a beautiful man.

Here are Nathalie and Sarah hanging out together.
Nana and Lita taking a moment to look at Grandpa's gravestone and pictures.  We miss him so much.

Lita, Auntie April, and I, all spoke about Grandpa - it is hard to believe it has been 6 months since we lost Grandpa.
