My first trip to the mall....was that ever tiring!

On Saturday, Shawn and I took Kellen to the mall for the first time! It took us almost an hour to get him ready and prepped to actually even enter the mall, but once we were there, we were a hit! We had so many people stop us to look at Kellen and tell us how cute and small he is...we agree! Kellen found the mall lots of fun, but as you can see from the pictures, it really wore him out! He slept for a couple of hours afterward!

Kellen has been enjoying being sat up to look around - so, I have had him sitting in his chair that his cousin Parker gave him. He seems to enjoy just hanging out! He still likes to also sit in his swing (again only for a few minutes before the novelty wears off!).

Another thing that Kellen has learned to do is to cry super loud (almost loud enough to shatter glass!) the moment he decides he is hungry....however, along with his mighty cry, he snorts right after each cry...sort of like George from Seinfeld crying and snorting all at the same time! Very cute!

Kellen and Auntie Kathy

Auntie Kathy came by for a visit yesterday to hang out with Kellen and bring his daddy lots of yummy treats! Kellen loved spending time with her and can't wait to have another visit!

Pacifiers are yuck...big red noses are great!!!

We have tried many times to get Kellen to take a soother (pacifier) to help calm him when he is looking for something to suck...unfortunately for us, he hates soothers and refuses them every chance he gets. However, Kellen loves to suck on the nose of a stuffed toy that belongs to his baby gym mat...every time he is on the mat, he sucks on the red nose of the toy forever!

Wow...am I ever getting big!

Kellen had his one month check up today and found out that he is growing very well! He gained 2 inches in his length (he is now 22 inches!) and he weighes 8 pounds, 6 ounces....almost 3 pounds from his coming home weight (and 2 pounds from his birth weight!)...well done Kellen!!! I'm 1 month old today!!!

We can't believe that our baby is already 1 month old today!!! Time goes by so quickly and he changes so much every day! Kellen likes to look around alot more now. He will look at you while you are talking to him and is able to actually focus on things now! He also loves making lots of new noises which mainly come in the form of loud grunts and sighs. Finally, we love when he smiles (even if it is still the gas that makes him do it!)....now, we are just waiting for the overnight sleeping to happen!

Today we put Kellen in "real clothes" for the first time...up until today, he has been in his sleepers. As you can see, he looks really cute all dressed up in his new outfit! Of course, he was very tired after a day of playing in his swing and wearing a new outfit...so, as you can see in the last picture, he was all tuckered out after a feeding!
