Raspberry Picking

Last weekend we went raspberry picking at a local farm. They had a huge area of raspberries, along with melons, strawberries, potatoes, carrots, peppers and corn. Kellen was pretty happy to be picking raspberries as he loves them soooo much!
Unfortunately, when we got to our row for picking, there was a crazy amount of bees (literally, it seemed as if there was a bee on every 2nd or 3rd raspberry - I have never seen so many bees in one place before). So, I had to sit out and just watch while everyone picked the raspberries...luckily, Kellen kept bringing me some raspberries for me to try.

So proud of his raspberries.

My Sweet Boy

Kellen loves to pull blankets and pillows from the beds and move them around to other rooms. The other day, he called me to his room and this is how I found him. He had brought our comforter and some pillows to his floor, and decided to relax with his friend, Froggy, and his drill. This kid is so darn adorable!

Kellen is just such a sweet little guy. He is just so fun to hang out with and so easy to get along with. He is also so loving - he loves to sit snuggled up with you and randomly (and often) will give you kisses and hugs, and tells you that he loves you. How sweet is that!??! He really is a great little boy and we are so proud of him! (Just thought I would tell everyone how much we love Kellen!)

Mommy and Kellen Date!

Kellen and I had a special date day today! It is coming to the end of the summer, so I am getting sentimental about having to go back to work and not getting time to hang out with Kellen as much. So, I decided to have a special day together!

We went to Kids Fun City, at Leslie/401. It is this amazing warehouse that has been converted into a super fun place for kids! Here we are checking out the toddler section.
And then we headed over to the big slides....except Kellen got a bit nervous having to climb up the tubes all by himself to get to the slides. We came back to the big slides a little later on.
Kellen loves all things made for little toddlers (I don't quite think he really knows how big he is now!)
Kellen thought the floor needed some cleaning. The place was super, super clean and well kept.
On another little toddler toy that he was too big for.
And now, he is brave enough for the slides!
"Hey....what's in here?"
Taking time out of driving his mini car to fill it up with gas.
Having a blast in the toddler area. He loved this little slide and climbing toy.

Beautiful and happy Kellen!

Kellen also loved playing on this mat, climbing thing - he spent lots of time here.
....doing weird things like this....
.....and this.
This place also had a mini golf section. Kellen has never been mini golfing before, so I thought it would be lots of fun. He didn't quite get the hang of it.....basically, he would push his ball to the hole.

Our mini golf area - 8 holes in total!
Caught red-handed!
Kellen found that mini golf worked better without his club - he preferred rolling his ball into the holes!
This place also had a little cafeteria where you could get snacks and lunch. They made your pizza for you once you ordered - so, the pizzas were super yummy and fresh! Kellen was super excited to have a slushie to go with his lunch!
Evidence of the blue slushie all over his face.
Behold, the giant slides!
Having fun in the kitchen - he was making bacon and cheese sandwiches!

They also have mini bowling! It is two little lanes that look like train tracks - it was super fun! Here is Kellen showing his super good bowling skills (using the bumper pads helps too!)

Yep, I tied with a 3 year old. No word of a lie, this was me trying to win!
Before we left, we went to the kid's disco! It is a room that is dark with little strobe lights and lots of fun music! Kellen had a blast busting out some really good dance moves!

August Long Weekend

Last weekend we went for a hike (mainly just a walk through nature!) with our friends, The Moore Family. It was very hot out so Kellen made sure that he stayed well hydrated.
Here are Kellen and Caden playing some fun game of catch me and my stick.
And they are still running....
....And still running.....
Now, they are tired of running so they stopped by a little stream. I love how they are just perched there.
But, once they gathered their energy, they were excited to throw rocks in the water.
Naturally, Kellen could not resist going into the water. Here are Shawn and Kellen checking out the little fish in the stream.
The next day, we went to the beach for some fun in the sand. Here is Kellen playing with the trucks in the sand. He really loves playing with cars and trucks!
Hanging out with Caden and making tracks for their trucks.
Smile!!!
Lunch break. We packed a yummy lunch to have as a picnic.

Off to check out the water with Daddy.
