Yesterday, Kellen and I went to the Eye Doctor! I love my Eye Doctor, so I thought it would be great if Kellen had her as his doctor as well. He was a bit nervous, but they made the appointment so much fun. He had a picture of his eyes taken with this cool radar-looking thing that has a smiley face on it. Then, he watched me do my eye appointment and then got to sit on my lap for his appointment. It was so fun to watch him. He had to wear super cool Mickey Mouse glasses that have both lenses covered up - so the doctor flips one lens to cover an eye and tests the other eye. He had to look at a little book full of pictures and had to tell her what he saw in each row. He rocked the test! Then, he did other tests where he had to wear 3-D glasses and press the picture in each row of a book that were "popping out" at him. He also had to do a colour vision test (which he rocked as well). Finally, she checked his eyes while he watched Dora on a television that was reflected through the mirror on the wall (the one that we use to tell the doctor the letters that we can see). The doctor was super proud of Kellen. She said he was an amazing patient and loved how well he acted the entire time we were there. He even got 2 pirate stickers! She said that because he was so well behaved that she was able to do extra tests - and he has the vision abilities of a 6 year old! He also has perfect vision.....Kellen rocks!!!
