A week of firsts

I promise that more pictures will be coming soon!
So, in the past week, Kellen has been super, super busy learning and mastering lots of new skills. I cannot believe how quickly he has learned to be so active! He is always on the move! Here is a list of some of the new things that Kellen has learned to do this week:
1. Crawling! He crawls everywhere around our place and likes to explore new things!
2. Crawling underneath things. Kellen loves to crawl under the tables, the chairs, our legs...anything that reminds him of the forts that daddy builds for him!
3. Pulling himself up into a standing position. Kellen now pulls himself up into a standing position everywhere he goes. He used to only do this in his crib, but he quickly learned how to pull himself up on everything, including just the wall!
4. Now that he can pull himself into a standing position, he has learned how to do mini shuffle steps to move around while standing! He is able to move around his crib and around the tables! (it takes a long time and he actually only shuffles about 1/2 way around these things!).
5. Climbing things. Another thing that Kellen has learned to do while in a standing position is climb (or attempt to climb) anything in sight. He likes to stand up at his little chair and he will then try to climb on top of the chair! He also likes to climb his bumper pads in his crib!
6. Clapping. Kellen sort of claps now. He can hold two things in his hands and bang them together. Also, yesterday while we were shopping, he got excited (I think all the colourful juice boxes at the grocery store did the trick!) and he started clapping!
7. Turning the pages of his books. We love to read to Kellen and we read to him a couple of times a day. Now when you are reading him a story, he will turn the pages for you!
