Happy 3rd Birthday, Kellen!

My baby boy turned 3 years old today! I cannot believe that 3 years have already gone by....it feels like just yesterday that they handed him over to me in the hospital...

Here he is this morning about to enjoy some cereal with Mommy for breakfast! He is also showing me three fingers to tell me how old he is today!
He is really proud that he could show me his age with his fingers (because he used to have trouble getting that third finger up without popping up his baby finger)....while munching on a breakfast bar (yep, he was hungry at breakfast - he finished his cereal and was still hungry!)
Shawn and I ordered mini cupcakes for Kellen to take to daycare and share with all of his friends - they had green icing (Kellen's favourite colour!) and Kellen was super proud and excited to hand out his special treat to all of his friends (and they sang "Happy Birthday" to him!).
After work, Shawn and I picked Kellen up from daycare and came home to open presents! Kellen sat in his special Elmo chair and got ready to open up the gifts.....here he is giving a huge birthday smile!

One of his presents was a puzzle...he really enjoys the "contained" puzzles that fit on the little boards. He especially loves anything with planes, trucks, ships, and busses!
His birthday card had characters from Toy Story....one of his new favourite things!
Opening up his presents! He is getting pretty good at opening up his gifts!
One of his presents was an inflatable Toy Story spaceship! It comes with a remote control that attaches to your television and plays 10 different video games....it is basically a playstation for toddlers!

Buzz Lightyear....to the rescue!!!

Kellen loves to help pump air into anything that needs inflating. So, after playing on his new spaceship, he decided that it needed more air in it. Here he is helping Shawn pump up his spaceship.

"Happy Birthday to you....." Here is Kellen's special birthday cake (and Mickey Mouse candle) that we had tonight to celebrate his birthday.

Kellen just loves to see candles lit - he loves to blow out candles!!! Here he is super excited and in awe of his birthday cake (especially the candle!) coming toward him!

After blowing out his candles, Kellen was happy to have his Mickey Mouse candle on his plate and dig into his cake!
And still digging in......

Man, chocolate icing is sooooo good!
