I promised Kellen that once I was feeling better (I have been battling strep throat all week) we would make cupcakes together. Kellen just loves to be your little helper, and do anything that means spending one-on-one time with either Shawn or myself. He was so excited to do everything involved in making the cupcakes. He especially loved holding the mixer! I should also point out that he poured everything into the mixing bowl for me! What a great baker!
It was pretty cute how he kept his focus on his mixing the entire time. I even mentioned that you need to move the mixer around to get everything in the bowl, and he kept moving it around the bowl!
Yummy! Giving Daddy a try of our buttercream icing!!! He wasn't sure if he wanted to try it, but once he did - it was hard to get his little fingers out of it!
"Yum...This icing is so good, I think I will just have a little bit more...."
Now that the capcakes are all done, here is Kellen carefully putting sprinkles on each individual cupcake!
Our yummy cupcakes....we decided to try out different ways to put the icing on the cupcakes by trying out different heads on our icing bag. The icing is vanilla buttercream and Kellen decided to dye it pink! The cupcakes are banana-pineapple!
And here are 3 cupcakes that Kellen helped to ice (he spread the icing with his fingers!) and then carefully put different types of sprinkles on them(these were our cupcakes for dessert).
